Boston Celtics defeats Washington Wizards 111-100
OH. MY. GOODNESS! Jayson Tatum just hit a step-back three over Kyle Kuzma with 30 seconds left to seal the deal for the Celtics! Boston defeated the Washington Wizards 111-100 in a game that had us all on the edge of our seats. It wasn’t always pretty, but a win is a win, and Celtics fans are buzzing!
Game Flow
The first quarter was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams feeling each other out. Boston came out firing, but Washington kept it close, showing they weren't going to be intimidated. Q1: BOS 29 - 27 WAS.
Then came the second quarter – and WOW! An absolute explosion from the Celtics! They went on a massive run, fueled by incredible ball movement and stifling defense. Washington looked completely lost, struggling to even get a shot off. Q2: BOS 35 - 14 WAS. Could this game have gotten away from the Wizards any faster?
The Wizards came out with a renewed energy in the third, finally finding some rhythm on offense. They started attacking the basket and hitting some tough shots, closing the gap. Boston, perhaps getting a little complacent, allowed Washington to gain some momentum. Q3: BOS 29 - 31 WAS.
The fourth quarter was a nail-biter! Washington continued their comeback, going on a huge scoring run and making it a single-possession game. Boston struggled to respond, turning the ball over and missing key shots. Q4: BOS 18 - 28 WAS. But, in the end, clutch shooting from Tatum and a couple of key defensive stops secured the victory for Boston!

Jayson Tatum
What can you say about JT? He was absolutely incredible tonight, leading the Celtics to victory with a masterful performance. He finished with 35 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. That clutch shot in the final seconds? Pure ice in his veins!
Jaylen Brown
Brown was a force to be reckoned with all night, consistently attacking the basket and creating opportunities for himself and his teammates. He contributed a solid 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. A true two-way threat!
Kristaps Porziņģis
KP was dominant in the paint, swatting shots and grabbing rebounds at will. He ended the night with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks. That's a double-double, folks! His presence inside is a game-changer for the Celtics.

The Celtics shot an impressive 48.7% from the field, showcasing their offensive efficiency. They also dominated the boards, grabbing a total of 45 rebounds compared to the Wizards' 38.
Boston’s ball movement was on full display, as they dished out 28 assists on their 41 field goals. However, turnovers were a bit of an issue, with the Celtics committing 15 compared to the Wizards' 12. They’ll need to clean that up moving forward.
Washington fought hard, shooting 45.1% from the field, however, they just couldn’t overcome Boston’s consistent scoring and defensive pressure.
